Industrie : Kapazitätsauslastung nochmals gestiegen

Abstract

Nach den Ergebnissen des ifo Konjunkturtests nutzten die Betriebe des westdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbes (ohne Nahrungs- und Genußmittel) im März ihre Anlagen durchschnittlich zu 85,4% (saisonbereinigt; gemessen an der betriebsüblichen Vollauslastung). Dieser Wert lag erneut deutlich über dem in der vorangegangenen Befragung erreichten Niveau von 84,6% im Dezember.Die Reichweit der Auftragsbestände verharrte indessen mit 2,7 Produktionsmonaten auf dem Stand von Ende 1994. In der gleichen Periode verschlechterten sich allerdings die Urteile über die Auftragsreserven wieder leicht. Der Optimismus bezüglich der Entwicklung der Exportchancen in den kommenden Monaten nahm zunächst langsam und im März, angesichts der verstärkten Währungsturbulenzen, kräftig ab. Die Produktionspläne deuteten zwar auf eine weitere Expansion der Fertigung im zweiten Quartal hin, der Auftrieb dürfte jedoch nachlassen. Ob er ausreichen wird, um den Auslastungsgrad weiter ansteigen zu lassen, wird nicht zuletzt von der Wechselkursentwicklung abhängen. Die Einschätzung des derzeitigen Anlagenbestandes mit Sicht auf ein Jahr im voraus, spricht für unverändertes Vertrauen der Unternehmen in konjunkturelle Stabilität.
