Handel in Sachsen-Anhalt : rasche Anpassung an marktwirtschaftliche Verhältnisse

Abstract

In Sachsen-Anhalt haben sich auf den verschiedenen Stufen des Handels nach Einführung der marktwirtschaftlichen Ordnung leistungsfähige Unternehmen herausgebildet. Auf der Einzelhandelsstufe haben die Ansiedlung preisaggressiver Angebotstypen "auf der grünen Wiese", aber auch der Erfolg der in Filialsystemen organisierten Discounter den Wettbewerb erheblich verschärft und zahlreiche Geschäfte zur Aufgabe gezwungen. Die in Sachsen-Anhalt ansässigen, überwiegend mittelständischen Großhandelsfirmen sind meist in der regionalen bzw. lokalen Feinverteilung der Waren engagiert.Da die Massendistribiteure in der Regel die Großhandelsfunktionen integriert haben, ist die Bedeutung des Großhandels in Sachsen-Anhalt noch wesentlich geringer als im Durchschnitt der alten Bundesländer.
