Investitionen der westdeutschen Industrie in den neuen Ländern : Maximum wurde 1993 erreicht

Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat seit Herbst 1990 die am ifo Investitionstest (West) teilnehmenden Industrieunternehmen siebenmal schriftlich nach ihren Investitionen in Ostdeutschland gefragt. Die Hochrechnung der Erhebungsergebnisse sowie ergänzende Informationen aus der ifo Unternehmensdatenbank Ost lassen darauf schließen, daß sich die westdeutsche Industrie 1994 mit rund 12,8 Mrd. DM nicht ganz so stark in den neuen Ländern engagiert wie 1993 (13,3 Mrd. DM). Ein neuerlicher Anstieg zeichnet sich lediglich im Grundstoff- und Produktionsgütergewerbe ab, dessen Anteil sich auf etwa 45% erhöht (1991: 28%). Bei den Investitionsaktivitäten an Standorten in der ehemaligen DDR stand in den letzten zwei Jahren nicht die konjunkturelle Lage im Vordergrund.
