Industrie : Aufholprozeß der neuen Bundesländer kommt langsam voran

Abstract

Das Statistische Bundesamt hat kürzlich zum zweiten Mal auch für die neuen Bundesländer und Berlin-Ost Daten aus der Kostenstrukturerhebung in der Industrie veröffenlicht. Die Gegenüberstellung mit den Ergebnissen für Westdeutschland macht deutlich, daß die ostdeutsche Industrie 1992 - gemessen am Jahresüberschuß (vor Steuern) in Prozent des Bruttoproduktionswerts (ohne MwSt) - erheblich aufholen konnte. Trotz des radikalen Personalabbaus betrug der Rückstand aber auch 1992 noch 19 Prozentpunkte (1991: 22 Punkte). Bei einer tieferen Untergliederung zeigt sich, daß 1992 sowohl in West- als auch in Ostdeutschland einige Fachzweige der Industrie der Steine und Erden die höchsten Gewinne verbuchen konnten. Wie aber eine in Zukunft hinsichtlich ihrer Ertragslage stabilere Rangfolge der ostdeutschen Industriebereiche aussehen wird, läßt sich nicht vorhersagen.
