Großhandel in Bayern : Porträt eines klassischen Dienstleistungsbereichs

Abstract

Das ifo Institut untersucht im Auftrag des Bayerischen Staatsministeriums für Wirtschaft und Verkehr Wettbewerbsbedingungen und Leistungsstrukturen des Groß- und Einzelhandels sowie der Handelsvermittlung in Bayern. Das Gutachten,das im Herbst 1995 abgeschlossen wird, basiert zu einem großen Teil auf Unternehmensbefragungen. Aus der hier vorab vorgestellten Auswertung der Erhebung im Großhandel geht u. a. hervor, daß die Unternehmen eine Aufstockung ihrer durchschnittlichen Beschäftigungszahl von 35,3 im Jahr 1993 auf 38,6 im Jahr 1998 vorgesehen haben. Als Indiz für den Strukturwandel im Großhandel kann die relativ große Bedeutung der Vertriebsgesellschaftn angesehen werden (31 % der befragten Unternehmen; Sortimentsgroßhandel: 21 %, Spezialgroßhandel: 48 %). Bayern wird als Standort für den Großhandel nicht uneingeschränkt positiv bewertet; gewisse Defizite sehen die befragten Unternehmen in den Bereichen Arbeitskosten, Arbeitsweise der öffentlichen Verwaltung und Grundstückspreise. Etwa ein Viertel der an der Erhebung beteiligten Großhändler hat sich bereits mit der Frage einer Standortverlagerung befaßt.
