Europa bis 1998 : eine Zeit der Neuorientierung

Abstract

Der Bericht faßt das Ergebnis der ERECO-Kooperation "Europe in 1998" zusammen.Das Grundkonzept der "Euro-Sektor-Trends" sieht vor, die gesamtwirtschaftlichen Prognosen bedeutender Wirtschaftsforschungsinstitute in Europa mit dem spezifischen Know-how ihrer Branchenforscher zu poolen, um zu Vorstellungen über die mittelfristigen Entwicklungsperspektiven der europäischen Wirtschaft und ihrer Teilbereiche zu gelangen. Dabei werden einzelne Vorhersagen über die jetzige Europäische Union bis hin zu einem Großeuropa getroffen. Insgeamt wird festgestellt, daß nur ein verhaltens Wachstum zu erwarten ist. Des weiteren wird der Staat die Unternehmerrolle aufgeben. Weiterhin ist zu bemerken, daß die Europäische Union mit ihren angrenzenden Nachbarn erhebliche Wachstumschancen hat.
