Weltrohstoffpreise 1994/95

Abstract

Der Bericht faßt die Ergebnisse einer Tagung der Arbeitsgruppe Rohstoffpreise der Vereinigung Europäischer Konjunkturforschungsinstitute vom 7. und 8. April 1994 zusammen. Im Rückblick wird festgestellt, daß im Oktober 1993 ein zyklischer Tiefstand erreicht wurde. Impulse für wieder anziehende Rohstoffpreise kamen von der Stabilisierung der Weltkonjunktur. Die Aussichten bis Ende 1995 werden unter Berücksichtigung einiger Annahmen getroffen (Zunahme des Bruttosozialprodukts in den westlichen Industrieländern um 2,25 % im Jahr 1994 und um 2,75 % im Jahr 1995, der Welthandel steigt um 5-6 %, der Dollar wird fest bleiben und das Niveau der Exportpreise bleibt konstant). Insgesamt wird auf den Märkten für Industrierohstoffe eine Erholung der Nachfrage einsetzen. Auf dem Rohölmarkt werden die Notierungen nach niedrigem Niveau stärker steigen. Im Nahrungs- und Genußmittelbereich wird der Preisauftrieb nachlassen und mit einer weiteren Entspannung der Versorgungslage zum Stillstand kommen. Die Prognose wird durch Tabellen dargestellt. In den Bereichen Metalle, agrarische Industrierohstoffe sowie Nahrungs- und Genußmittel werden Ursachen der Preisänderungen näher erläutert.
