Attraktivität europäischer Regionen als Wohnsitz und Produktionsstätte

Abstract

In einer schriftlichen Umfrage im Herbst 1993 wurden knapp 1.000 Manager und Geschäftsführer des verarbeitenden Gewerbes in Deutschland befragt, um die Attraktivität von europäischen Städten als Wohnsitz und von Regionen als Produktionsstandort zu ermitteln. Bei der Wohnortpräferenz deutscher Manager wurde die Wohnqualität, die Freizeitmöglichkeiten, die persönliche Sicherheit und die Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten bewertet. Dabei schnitt München mit 24,7 % vor Hamburg 10,1 %, Berlin 6,4 %, Dresden 5,5 % und Paris 4,1 % am besten ab. Bei der Präferenz für den Produktionsstandort wurden Produktionskosten, Qualifikation und Verfügbarkeit von Arbeitskräften, Steuern, politische Stabilität und die Nähe zum Kunden und zum Lieferanten bewertet. Dabei sahen die Befragten den bisherigen Standort vor den neuen Bundesländern und der Tschechischen Republik.
