Ostdeutscher Großhandel : abnehmerorientierte Funktionen gewinnen an Bedeutung

Abstract

Die Studie befaßt sich mit dem Stand und den Perspektiven des Großhandels in den neuen Bundesländern. Die schriftliche Erhebung umfaßt 1100 ostdeutsche Großhandelsfirmen. Trotz schwieriger wirtschaftlicher Rahmenbedingungen konnten sich die Unternehmen im Distributionssystem der neuen Bundesländer etablieren. Die meist kleinen und mittleren Großhandelsunternehmen sind auf lokaler und regionaler Ebene aktiv. Global gesehen hat sich eine effizienzfördernde Arbeitsteilung mit größeren Unternehmen und Verbundgruppen herausgebildet, von der belebende Impulse auf das Wettbewerbsgeschehen in der Großhandelsdistribution ausgehen. Vertrieben werden hauptsächlich Waren aus den alten Bundesländern. Die ostdeutschen Produkte nehmen allerdings an Bedeutung wieder zu. Insgesamt hat sich der ostdeutsche Großhandel nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten marktwirtschaftlich ausgerichtet, wobei das Rückgrat der Großhandelsdistribution durch Niederlassungen westdeutscher Handelsunternehmen sowie durch herstellergesteuerte Vertriebsorgane gebildet wird.
