Abstract

Der Konjunkturbericht über Finnland beschreibt zunächst das politische und soziale Umfeld für das Jahr 1994. Die direkte Wahl des Staatspräsidenten und die Entscheidung über den Beitritt zur EU sind dabei entscheidend. Die Wirtschaftsentwicklung 1993 wird über die Kennzahlen reales Bruttoinlandsprodukt, Bruttoanlageninvestition, privater Konsum, öffentlicher Verbrauch, Export, Import, Leistungsbilanz, Arbeitslosenquote und Konsumentenpreise analysiert. Gestützt auf Graphiken über Industrieproduktion,Preise und Löhne, Außenhandel, Währungsreserven und Zinssätze sowie den Veränderungsraten des realen BIP wird die Wirtschaftsentwicklung für die Jahre 1994 bis 1995 prognostiziert. 1993 ist das Bruttoinlandsprodukt nochmals gesunken. Die Konjunkturbelebung im Jahr 1994 ist vor allem exportgetragen. 1995 festigt sich die konjunkturelle Erholung. Die Geldpolitik wird konjunkturstimmulierend wirken. Trotz der Einführung der Mehrwertsteuer Mitte 1994 wird insgesamt mit nur geringem Preisanstieg gerechnet. Dagegen bleibt die Arbeitslosigkeit mit 20 % äußerst hoch. Hohe Exporte induzieren weiterhin Überschüsse in der Leistungsbilanz.
