Abstract

Der Konjunkturbericht über die Schweiz geht zunächst von den veränderten sozialen und politischen Bedingungen in Europa aus. Die Wirtschaftsentwicklung 1993 wird über die Kennzahlen reales Bruttoinlandsprodukt, Bruttoanlageninvestition, privater Konsum, öffentlicher Verbrauch, Export, Import, Leistungsbilanz, Arbeitslosenquote und Konsumentenpreise analysiert. Aus diesen Daten und Rahmenbedingungen werden die geld-, währungs- und fiskalpolitischen Kursrichtungen der Schweiz für die Zukunft ermittelt. Gestützt auf Graphiken über Industrieproduktion, Preise und Löhne, Außenhandel, Währungsreserven und Zinssätze sowie den Veränderungsraten des realen BIP wird die Wirtschaftsentwicklung für die Jahre 1994 bis 1995 prognostiziert. So wird festgestellt, daß die Rezession 1993 überwunden wurde, 1994 eine allmähliche Konjunkturerholung und 1995 ein verstärktes Wirtschaftswachstum einsetzen wird. Die Finanzpolitik ist allgemein kosolidierungsorientiert, mit der Umstellung auf die Mehrwertsteuer ab 1995, den niedrigen Zinsen und dem daraus resultierenden geringen Preisanstieg. Die Arbeitslosigkeit wird in den nächsten Jahren kaum noch zunehmen. Die Leistungsbilanz wird weiterhin Überschüsse ausweisen.
