Europäische Industriepolitik und internationaler Wettbewerb

Abstract

Der wissenschaftliche Teil der ifo Jahresversammlung befaßte sich schwerpunktmäßig mit Industriepolitik im europäischen Kontext. Das Thema war von besonderem Interesse, da nicht zuletzt mit dem Abschluß des Maastrichter Vertrages im Frühjahr 1992 eine ordnungspolitische Diskussion entbrannt ist, mit der zentralen Frage, ob sich die europäische Integration besser mit wettbewerbs- oder industriepolitischen Maßnahmen verwirklichen läßt. Bundeswirtschaftsminister Dr. Günter Rexrodt hielt das Hauptreferat. Anschließend fand eine Podiumsdiskussion statt. Heinz-Werner Meyer, Prof.Dr. Karl Heinrich Oppenländer, Dr. Günter Rexrodt, Prof.Dr. Otto Schlecht und Dr.Manfred Scholz vertraten Politik, Wirtschaft, Gewerkschaften und Wissenschaft aus deutscher Perspektive. Die japanische Sichtweise wurde von Herrn Shinji Fukukawa vertreten, Prof.Dr. András Inotai aus Ungarn sprach stellvertretend für die ostmitteleuropäischen Länder. Die französische Industriepolitik wurde von Prof. Christian Stoffaes erläutert, und Prof.Dr. W.T.M. Molle, Niederlande, berichtete über EG-Industriepolitik aus der Sicht eines kleinen europäischen Mitgliedslandes.
