Steuereinnahmen laufen 1993 besser als erwartet

Abstract

Ständige Gesetzesänderungen erschweren in letzter Zeit die Steuerschätzungen. Angesichts der Größenordnungen, um die es dabei geht, können schon geringe prozentuale Fehler bei der Quantifizierung von Steuerrechtsänderungen das Ergebnis der Steuerschätzungen erheblich tangieren. Nach Berechnungen des ifo Instituts, in denen Gesetzesänderungen Rechnung getragen ist, die in der offiziellen Steuerschätzung vom Mai 1993 noch nicht berücksichtigt waren, könnten die Steuereinnahmen 1993 um 10 Mrd. DM höher ausfallen, als vom Arbeitskreis Steuerschätzungen erwartet.Trotz diesen erfreulichen Ergebnisses sollte aber das Ziel, 1994 25 Mrd. DM einzusparen, nicht aus den Augen verloren werden. Der ständig wachsende Finanzbedarf wird sich mittelfristig (bis 1997) in einer auf etwas über 25% steigenden volkswirtschaftlichen Steuerquote niederschlagen.
