Abstract

Die längste und schwerste Rezession der Nachkriegszeit, die Mitte 1990 begonnen hatte, dauerte bis zum Frühsommer 1992. Danach haben Nachfrage und Produktion zwar leicht zugenommen, das reale BIP ist jedoch um gut 0,5% gesunken. 1993 kann mit einer Expansion des realen BIP um ca. 1% gerechnet werden. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt wird sich jedoch leicht verschlechtern. 1994 dürfte sich dann - bei einem Anstieg des realen BIP um etwa 2% - die Zahl der Arbeitslosen kaum noch erhöhen.
