Technologische Wettbewerbspositionen im Licht der ifo Patentstatistik

Abstract

Die Positionen von Ländern und Unternehmen im technologischen Wettbewerb können mit Hilfe patentstatistischer Indikatoren beobachtet werden. Dies geschieht im allgemeinen durch Häufigkeitsauszählung der zum Patent angemeldeten Erfindungen auf der Grundlage von Patentdokumenten der ersten Veröffentlichungsstufe. Das entsprechnede Angebot an Patentdaten ist weltweit außerordentlich groß. Um trotz der Differenzen zwischen den nationalen Patentsystemen eine gleichmäßige Beobachtung in allen führenden Industrieländern zu gewährleisten, ist eine Filterung der Daten aus den verschiedenen Patentsystemen nach der wissenschaftlichen Bedeutung der angemeldeten Erfindungen erforderlich.
