Innovationsaktivitäten in den neuen Bundesländern

Abstract

Die Erhebungen ergaben, daß sich sowohl der Anteil der Produktinnovatoren als auch der Anteil der Prozeßinnovatoren erhöht hat. Parallel dazu verbesserte sich auch die Umsatzstruktur. Beide Effekte dürften allerdings in erheblichem Umfang durch das Ausscheiden von nicht-innovativen Unternehmen mit einem alten Produktmix beeinflußt sein. Die Ergebnisse des ifo Innovationstest zeigen aber auch, daß die verbliebenen Unternehmen versuchen, sich an die veränderte Marktsituation anzupassen, indem sie durch Prozeßinnovationen die Modernisierung ihrer Anlagen forcieren und durch Produktinnovationen ein konkurrenzfähiges Angebot schaffen.
