Chancen der ostdeutschen Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie im Lichte eines veränderten Verbraucherverhaltens

Abstract

In der Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie in der ehem. DDR ist die Produktion gegenüber dem Vorjahr auf 43,4% zurückgegangen. Der Auftragseingang der Textilindustrie lag im Oktober gegenüber dem Vormonat bei 90,1%. Im gleichen Zeitraum ist der Auftragsbestand auf 81,7% gesunken. Andererseits steht dem dramatischen Verfall der ostdeutschen Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie eine wachsende Nachfrage auf dem Binnenmarkt gegenüber. Nachdem im Juli 1990 nur 160 DM je Haushalt für Textilien und Bekleidung ausgegeben wurden, stiegen die monatlichen Anschaffungen im September auf immerhin 230 DM. Für 1991 ist mit einer hohen Nachfrage bei Textilien und Bekleidung zu rechnen und die ostdeutsche Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie sollte die zu erwartende mittelfristige stabile Binnenmarktnachfrage als Impulsgeber für eine rasche Vitalisierung durch eine konsequente Nischenstrategie nutzen.
