Wettbewerbsfähigkeit ausgewählter EG-Regionen

Abstract

Die Studie untersucht die wirtschaftliche Stärke einzelner deutscher und europäischer Wirtschaftsregionen. Im Vergleich mit den beiden überdurchschnittlich starken Wirtschaftsräumen Oberbayern mit Schwerpunkt München und Stuttgart werden die Standortfaktoren der Regionnen in der Bewertung von dort angesiedelten Unternehmen in Tabellenform dargestellt. Ruhrgebiet und Saarland sind Beispiele für deutsche Problemregionen, deren Chancen in den Augen der Unternehmer mit dem europäischen Binnenmarkt aber steigen werden. In einer weiteren Tabelle werden Zentren und Aufsteigerregionen in den Mitgliedsländern der EG dargestellt. Als Zukunftsmetropole hat für die Bundesrepublik neben München und Stuttgart auch Frankfurt große Chancen. In Frankreich wird vor allem die Bedeutung der Region Rhone-Alpen mit Lyon steigen, in Italien die der Lombardei mit Mailand. In Großbritannien ist East Anglia Wachstumsregion, in Spanien Katalonien mit Barcelona.
