ifo Konjunkturprognose Herbst 2022: Inflation würgt privaten Konsum ab – deutsche Konjunktur vor hartem Winter

Abstract

Die deutsche Konjunktur kühlt kräftig ab. Die hohen Inflationsraten lassen die realen Einkommen der privaten Haushalte sowie deren Ersparnisse dahinschmelzen und reduzieren ihre Kaufkraft. Während die Wirtschaftsleistung im dritten Quartal 2022 noch stagnieren dürfte, wird sie in den beiden Quartalen des Winterhalbjahres voraussichtlich um 0,2 bzw. 0,4% schrumpfen. Damit wird das Bruttoinlandsprodukt in diesem Jahr noch um 1,6% zulegen und dann im kommenden Jahr um 0,3% schrumpfen. Die Inflationsrate wird in diesem Jahr bei durchschnittlich 8,1% liegen und im kommenden Jahr auf 9,3% steigen. Ihren Höhepunkt wird sie voraussichtlich im ersten Quartal 2023 mit etwa 11% erreichen. Im Vergleich zur ifo Konjunkturprognose Sommer 2022 wurden damit insbesondere für das kommende Jahr die Wachstumsprognose deutlich um 4,0 Prozentpunkte herabgesetzt und die Inflationsprognose kräftig um 6,0 Prozentpunkte angehoben. Im Jahr 2024 wird sich die Konjunktur allmählich wieder normalisieren. Die Wirtschaftsleistung dürfte mit 1,8% zulegen und die Inflationsrate auf 2,4% sinken.
