Verkehrsinfrastruktur im Freistaat Sachsen

Abstract

Eine leistungsfähige Verkehrsinfrastruktur gilt als eine Grundvoraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche wirtschaftliche Entwicklung. Zwar ist eine günstige Verkehrsanbindung einer Region allein nicht ausreichend; eine eingeschränkte Erreichbarkeit ist jedoch durch Vorteile bei anderen Standortfaktoren kaum zu kompensieren. Insbesondere in peripher gelegenen Regionen – und hierzu gehört auch der Freistaat Sachsen – ist ein guter Ausbauzustand der Verkehrsinfrastruktur bedeutsam, um bestehenden Lagenachteile auszugleichen. Wenngleich viele Regionen Sachsens bereits sehr gut an das überregionale Verkehrsnetz angeschlossen sind, fallen einige Randgebiete noch immer ab und liegen bei verschiedenen Erreichbarkeitsindikatoren deutlich unter dem sächsischen Durchschnitt.
