Wie stark ist die D-Mark in Sachsen? - Ein Kaufkraftvergleich mit Westdeutschland

Abstract

Der Bericht informiert über die Kaufkraftunterschiede in Sachsen und Westdeutschland. Nach Berechnungen des ifo Instituts nahm das Nettoeinkommen in Sachsen im Durchschnitt von monatlich 1805 DM im Jahr 1991 auf 2890 DM im Jahr 1995 zu. Es verringerte sich der Anteil der Haushalte mit niedrigen Einkommen im Zeitraum von 1991 bis 1995 spürbar. Der Anteil der mittleren und höheren Einkommensgruppen nahm dagegen deutlich zu. Obwohl die Verbraucherpreise im Untersuchungszeitraum in Sachsen um 36,7% gegenüber 14,1% in Westdeutschland angestiegen sind, ist das Preisniveau immer noch niedriger als in Westdeutschland.
