Abstract

Questo contributo adatta l’approccio teorico del capitale monopolistico al caso delle grandi piattaforme digitali. Vengono identificate le fondamenta del potere economico di cui godono le piattaforme contemporanee – controllo dei dati, della tecnologia, del lavoro e delle catene del valore, e condizionamento dell’attività dei Governi – e illustrati gli elementi di continuità e discontinuità rispetto alle imprese transnazionali del XX secolo. Infine, vengono discusse le implicazioni di politica economica giustapponendo le normative antitrust e le ipotesi di socializzazione dei dati e delle infrastrutture digitali necessarie al loro utilizzo
