Abstract

Through the paradoxes approach (Smith et Lewis, 2011), this article focuses on the sustainability of small enterprises in collective management system (CMSs) in a sector under tension, french agriculture. Based on a case study, we analyze how this collective strategy (Astley et Fombrun, 1983), founded on continuous improvement and collective responsibility principles, can create favorable conditions for constructive management of sustainability tensions.
