Abstract

This paper aims at assessing the determinants of the spatial distribution patterns of three selected labor market outcomes on the urban level (non-employment rate, informal employment rate and real wages). Studying Mexico City, we identify the characteristics of neighborhoods that influence the values of non-employment rate, the informal employment rate and real wages. Using the same method, we are able to identify the spatial dependence of these labor market outcomes. Finally, we identify feedback effects on female non-employment and informal employment rates.
