Abstract

A number of studies have examined the link between the construct of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and organizational performance. This paper examines EO specifically in the context of SMEs by exploring the relationships among EO and innovation activities using an in-depth review of the extant literature and survey data. Data were collected from 165 Brittany SMEs. It investigates two intersecting questions: Is the construct covering all components of innovation activities, from R&D to new marketing methods; is the construct mainly uni-dimensional or multi-dimensional? We found support for the uni-dimensional entrepreneurial posture construct noting that it promoted each innovation activities. ? JEL: M13, O32, M21
