Abstract

Príspevok sa zaoberá energetickou politikou EÚ, jej dokumentmi a energetickým mixom tohto spoločenstva. Globálny dopyt po energiách narastá veľmi rýchlo. Ceny ropy ostávajú neustále na vysokých úrovniach a s výnimkou Arktídy sa neočakávajú objavy nových nálezísk pre ťažbu. Dopyt po plyne takisto rastie úmerne s dopytom po rope, pričom cenová naviazanosť ostáva aj naďalej v nezmenenom stave. V členských krajinách prebiehajú neustále debaty o miere využívania jadrových elektrární, niektoré krajiny s nimi počítajú aj do budúcnosti, na opačnej strane sú však krajiny s odporom. Klimatické zmeny vyplývajú na každú ekonomiku a s ich dopadmi je nevyhnutné počítať do blízkej budúcnosti. Obnoviteľné zdroje energie sa ukazujú síce ako dlhodobé riešenie, z krátkodobého hľadiska však nemôžu úplne nahradiť fosílne palivá.
