Abstract

The impact of the refugee crisis from 2015 was not only economic, but also political. In addition to exposing the weaknesses of the European Union's common migration policy and the rise in skepticism about Europena Union, crisis has had clear impact on the rise of populist, extremist and non-standard political parties. The following analysis pays attention to the importance of the topic of migration for the political party Kotlebovci-Ľudová strana Naše Slovensko before the parliamentary elections in 2016 and 2020. Through a detailed analysis we verify the veracity of individual statements stated in the pre-election programs.
