K Príčinám Rozmachu Pirátstva V Somálsku

Abstract

Cieľom príspevku je identifikovať a diskutovať o príčinách rozmachu somálskeho pirátstva. Autor dospieva k záveru, že za hlavné príčiny možno považovať pretrvávanie podmienok zlyhávajúceho, resp. rozpadnutého štátu, najmä v teritoriálnej rovine, ale aj v rovine poskytovania politických statkov, v ktorom sa vytvorili oblasti s dostatočnou úrovňou stability a sklonom ku korupcii umožňujúcimi jeho vzostup, osobitne v Puntlande, na jednej strane a samotnú strategickú geografickú polohu Somálska vo vzťahu k námornej preprave v regióne na strane druhej. Navyše bolo poukázané aj na niektoré ďalšie, čiastkové faktory, ktoré do určitej miery prispeli k vzostupu pirátstva.
