Comment on Edlin and Phelps: A Better Employer Wage Subsidy
According to Tim Bartik of the Upjohn Institute, a revival of the New Jobs Tax Credit would be a more cost-effective and politically feasible method of stimulating job creation, compared to the broader employer tax credits advocated by Edlin and Phelps.
