Change of vegetation and properties of pyrogenic formations on burnt peat soils of Western Polissya

Abstract

The main causes of fires in peat bogs, distribution of their quantity in the territory of Ukraine are presented. The main types of secondary pyrogenic formations are presented, the change of drained soils, which have undergone pyrogenic degradation in the zone of Western Polissya, is estimated. Detailed description of the change of vegetation in the degraded area, soil cuts (compared with control), their agrochemical indices. The possibility of restoration of pyrogenically degraded peatlands for their further agricultural use is explored
