Environmental aspects of silviculture of Kyiv region in the context of sustainable nature management

Abstract

This paper deals with a brief overview of the formation and development of Kyiv silviculture since its inception, and its modern state within the subjects-land users of the state silviculture. The latter — in view of the regional Forestry Programme development of the Kiev region for the period till 2015. The author gives certain aspects regarding the imperfections of economic mechanisms of formation and providing self-supporting and profitable economic state forestries. The author shows conclusions and recommendations for the improvement of economic-administrative division of the state forestries, organization of the territory of their activities, the establishment of borders, taking into account the state political course on decentralization of management, and identification (instead of the impersonal «state») of responsibility of land users for financial and environmental performance of management
