Prospects for creation of new nature reserve fund of Kiev region

Abstract

As at 01.01.2016 the percentage of the Kyiv region protected areas has reached to 4,06%. After the Chornobyl organization biosphere reserve indicator will triple — 12,14% (341311,7147 ha). The most common category of natural protected areas are reserves (98 sites), natural monuments (61). A small number of objects of national importance (23), but by the area they far exceed the area of facilities of local importance: 70,7 and 29,3% accordingly. There is still no nature reserves. There are three national parks: Holosiyivskyi, Biloozerskyi, Zalissia. Work on the organization and creation of local reserves is insufficient. Among the 22 proposed protected areas the most eco sozologicaly valuable: regional landscape park «Yagotinskiy named after Hetman Kyrylo Rozumovskyi» reserves «Oranskyi» (landscaped), «Kosivskyi» (ichthyological), «Myronivskyi» (botanical), «Staykivski obrii» (zoological), «Nehrashi-Muzychi» (hydrological), «Chornyi forest» (landscaped), «Shandrivskyi forest» (forest)
