Abstract

This paper presents the Lithuanian agricultural land position including suggestions for agrarian areas management control. Proposals are substantiated by the strategic documents and legal provisions of farmland as an exceptional value of natural resource conservation. Rational land use issues in Lithuania may be properly solved by better legislation when drafting planning documents based on scientific recommendations after the return of abandoned lands for economic activities. It is necessary to increase state support for the development of farms and landuse control efficiency.
