Abstract

El desarrollo social y económico de un país está afectado, entre otros aspectos, por las condiciones geopolíticas que limitan su inserción en el contexto internacional. Para un país en desarrollo y de condición mediterránea, como es el caso de Bolivia, es de vital importancia la relación comercial entre países, en el marco jurídico de los tratados comerciales establecidos, considerando la competitividad como variable en tiempo y costo, la cual es determinada por la ubicación geográfica y el acceso eficiente a la distribución física internacional. La presente investigación referencia los efectos de la mediterraneidad, analizados a través de información histórica y estadística, como herramientas para medir variables que afectan el desarrollo económico y social de Bolivia.
