Statistics in Hospital Planning and Design

Abstract

In this article Mr Bailey shows how statistical methods can help to ensure that hospitals make the best use of limited resources. He deals with the calculation of the size of hospital required, the achievement of efficiency in hospital design, and the use of current statistical returns to check the performance of existing hospitals.
