Corruption et Etats fragiles africains

Abstract

type="main" xml:lang="fr"> S'enregistrant dans la littérature sur les déterminants de la corruption, cet article a pour objectif d'étudier la relation entre la corruption et la nature de l'Etat, à savoir ici : sa fragilité. De manière empirique et robuste, nous trouvons une corrélation entre le niveau de la corruption et la fragilité de l'Etat. Qui plus est, nos résultats suggèrent, après manipulation de l'économétrie des variables instrumentales, aucune causalité allant de la fragilité étatique au niveau de la corruption « classique » d'une part et une causalité allant de la fragilité étatique à l'extrême corruption d'autre part.
