Abstract
The article systematizes the theoretical foundations of the role of digitalization in the transformation of business management in the context of ensuring their sustainable development. The purpose of the study is to summarize the theoretical aspects and global experience of using digital technologies as a factor in improving the efficiency of enterprise management and to provide a brief overview of the existing practice of promoting digitalization in our country. The implementation of the article's objectives involves the use of a group of general scientific and special research methods that allow assessing individual aspects of the impact of the introduction of digital technologies on the efficiency of the management process at the level of enterprises and firms. In particular, the essence and principles of sustainable development as a modern standard of strategic management of business entities, its key components and main objectives are revealed. The article highlights the place and potential of digitalization in transforming the business practices of enterprises and firms towards creating new opportunities for economic growth, the main aspects of the role of digital technologies in the formation of sustainable development management of business entities, and the main areas of influence of digitalization on the models used in modern business. The role of digital technologies as a driver of the modern sharing economy and one of the key prerequisites for the implementation of the principles of shared consumption in social life and business is explored. The domestic experience of implementing digitalization in business practice and some circumstances that hinder and complicate these processes are briefly discussed. The practical significance of the article lies in the generalization of theoretical developments and business practices regarding the use of digitalization as a factor in improving the management efficiency of business entities, which can be used in the transformation of the management of Ukrainian business entities towards the implementation of modern principles of sustainable development.
