Boşanmanın Ekonomik Belirleyicileri: Türkiye Düzey 2 Bölgeleri Üzerine Panel Veri Analizi

Abstract

Boşanma, çeşitli nedenlere bağlı olarak gerçekleşebilmektedir. Bu nedenlerden bazıları ekonomik sebeplere dayanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, enflasyonun, yetişkin erkek işsizliğin ve kadın istihdamının yetişkin boşanmaları üzerindeki etkilerinin Türkiye Düzey 2 Bölgeleri için araştırılmasıdır. 2005-2021 döneminin ele alındığı çalışmada Driscoll-Kraay (1998) Standart Hatalar Yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Kurulan temel model yetişkin nüfus (25+) ve oluşturulan üç alt yaş grubu (25-34, 35-54 ve 55+) için ayrı ayrı tahmin edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; 25+, 25-34 ve 35-54 yaş gruplarında yetişkin kadın istihdamı boşanmanın en önemli belirleyicisidir. Yetişkin erkek işsizliğinin ve kadın istihdamının boşanma üzerindeki etkisi ileri yaş evrelerinde önce artmakta sonra azalmaktadır. Enflasyon oranı ise bütün yaş gruplarında boşanmayı pozitif etkilemekte ve etkisi ileri yaş evrelerinde giderek artmaktadır. Ekonomide işsizliğin ve enflasyon oranının düşürülmesine odaklı politikalar ve çalışan kadınlara yönelik düzenlemeler boşanmaların da azalmasını sağlayacaktır. Enflasyonun olumsuz etkilerini hafifletmek için yapılacak sosyal politika tercihlerinde, ileri yaş gruplarının gözetilmesi ayrıca aile birliğinin korunmasına ve toplumsal yapının istikrarına katkıda bulunacaktır.
