Akıllı Telefon Bağımlılığı ile Yaşam Doyumu İlişkisinde Nomofobinin Rolü: Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli Uygulaması

Abstract

Akıllı telefonlara sürekli eklenen özellikler nedeniyle bireylerin günlük işlerinin büyük bir kısmını telefonları üzerinden bitirebilmeleri, bireylere daha fazla akıllı telefon kullanımı için motivasyon sağlamıştır. Ancak bu durum bireylerin problemli akıllı telefon kullanımını artırmış, akıllı telefon bağımlılığı olarak nitelendirilen ve davranışsal bağımlılıklar arasında yer alan bir soruna dönüşmüştür. Benzer şekilde günlük hayatının belirli bir bölümünü akıllı telefonlarına ayıran bireyler, bağımlı oldukları akıllı telefonlarından ayrı kalma korkusu olarak nitelendirilen nomofobi problemi ile karşılaşmıştır. Her iki durum ise sonuç olarak bireylerin akıl sağlığını ve toplumsal ilişkilerinin niteliğini açıklayan yaşam doyumunu etkilemiştir. Çalışmada öğrencilerin akıllı telefon bağımlılıkları, nomofobi düzeyleri ve yaşam doyumları arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada Osmaniye Korkut Ata Üniversitesi öğrencilerinden 430 birimlik bir örneklem ile çalışılmıştır. Değişkenler ile ilgili literatür incelemesinden yola çıkılarak oluşturulan yapısal eşitlik modelinin analizi sonucunda akıllı telefon bağımlılığı ile nomofobi arasında pozitif, nomofobi ile yaşam doyumu arasında negatif ve akıllı telefon bağımlılığı ile yaşam doyumu arasında negatif yönlü anlamlı ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Ayrıca akıllı telefon bağımlılığı ile yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişkide nomofobinin kısmi aracılık rolü olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
