L’éducation économique, budgétaire et financière des publics : un enjeu majeur en temps de crise

Abstract

C’est en période de crise que les enjeux de compréhension des mécanismes économiques, budgétaires et financiers sont les plus cruciaux. La crise sanitaire du COVID-19 et les mesures prises pour l’endiguer ont provoqué un double choc d’offre et de demande et, pour les agents économiques, une double incertitude : quel impact in fine sur leur environnement, et quelles conséquences, par la suite, sur leur propre situation économique et financière ? L’éducation économique, budgétaire et financière a pour objet de permettre à chacun de disposer des bases nécessaires pour prendre des décisions en connaissance de cause. Dans le contexte actuel, elle contribue donc à la résilience des ménages et des entreprises et à la continuité de l’éducation des jeunes. Depuis 2016, la France s’est dotée d’une stratégie nationale dans ce domaine. La Banque de France, désignée comme opérateur national par les pouvoirs publics, met en oeuvre cette stratégie.
