Abstract

This paper analyzes the changes in the Argentine economic structure between 2007 and 2017 based on indicators built on the input-output matrix released in 2019 by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, which incorporates data from the region into the global matrix made by the Asian Development Bank. In the first place, the works on matrices are linked within the economic discussion on productive integration in Latin America and the concept of productive disarticulation is analyzed. Subsequently, the direct and indirect production and employment multipliers built for Argentina are shown, which allows to distinguish the impacts both in the country and in other countries. The article ends with a reflection on the consequences of the productive disarticulation on the generation of employment in Argentina.
