Abstract

In today's education world, the growing prevalence of phishing attacks, especially those targeting mobile users via deceptive URLs, poses a significant threat to cybersecurity and individual privacy. Existing URL detection methods are largely manual, requiring users to copy and paste suspicious links into web-based checkers, which is an impractical and time-consuming solution during urgent situations. This research introduces Edu-SafeLink, an educational mobile-based application designed to simplify and automate the detection of malicious URLs using lexical text mining and the Random Forest algorithm.
