Abstract

This paper will discuss how Prophet Muhammad safeguarded human rights during his era. Safeguarding is the protection of something from harm.[1] Prophet Muhammad received revelation from Allah; the Quran was revealed to him as a guide to humankind. ( Quran 2:1-3). Allah has provided human rights in the Quran, and Prophet Muhammad has implemented human rights by actions. Prophet Muhammad protected the Muslim society from violation of human rights during his Prophet hood. Prophet Muhammad implemented Islamic law, which outlined justice, liberty, and freedom. During the sermons of Prophet Muhammad, he emphasized human rights and implemented all basic human rights during his leadership. (Akram 2002)
