Abstract
This study discusses the development of integrated ecoprint and deer-motif batik innovation as a strategy to strengthen the local creative economy in Cisaat Tourism Village, Subang. The study aims to explore how sustainable textile innovation, participatory community empowerment, and tourism-based cultural identity can be integrated into the development of the local creative industry. The study employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving female batik artisans from Komunitas Batik Sumbangsih, academics, and university students through collaborative workshops and practical training activities conducted in April 2026. The program consisted of ecoprint training, deer motif design workshops utilizing AI generative technology, batik stamp production, and integrated textile manufacturing processes. The results demonstrated increased community skills in sustainable textile production, creative motif development, and environmentally friendly batik innovation. The integration of deer motifs with ecoprint techniques produced unique cultural products reflecting the ecological and tourism identity of Cisaat Village. Furthermore, the initiative contributed to community empowerment, product diversification, tourism branding, and the enhancement of local entrepreneurial capacity. This study contributes to the discussion of sustainable development of the creative economy by presenting an integrative model that combines traditional batik craftsmanship, ecological innovation, participatory design, and community-based tourism in rural Indonesia.
