Utilization of Electronic Policing in the Philippine National Police

The integration of electronic policing systems in the Philippine National Police (PNP) has become central to enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring effective law enforcement, and improving public safety. This study aimed to evaluate the level of Implementation and identify the challenges encountered in the utilization of electronic policing systems, specifically the e-Rouges Gallery, e-Warrant System, e-Blotter Report, and e-Subpoena. Furthermore, it explored whether significant differences in Implementation and challenges were influenced by socio-demographic factors such as age, sex, civil status, and educational attainment. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed, utilizing a structured survey administered to 205 PNP personnel. The findings revealed high adoption across the various electronic systems, particularly the e-Rouges Gallery and e-Warrant System, while the e-Blotter Report indicated room for improvement in system functionality and accessibility. Significant differences in both the level of Implementation and the challenges encountered were observed by age and gender, highlighting the importance of targeted training and system exposure for different demographic groups. Additionally, a positive correlation was found between the implementation level and the challenges encountered, indicating that as electronic system implementation increases, the complexity and challenges associated with their management also increase.
