Abstract
In teaching Human Anatomy, learners often experience difficulties learning the human body due to limitations and challenges, such as a lack of material, the expense of cadavers for dissection, aan nd an overwhelming amount of information. The researcher aimed to overcome the mentioned obstacles by using 3D augmented reality and an inquiry-based learning approach to support students’ learning activities. The research centers on evaluating the effectiveness of 3D augmented reality and the Inquiry-Based teaching method in teaching the muscular system in a human anatomy and physiology course to college science major students. The respondents were the entire population of Bachelor of Science in Education major in science students at Sibonga Community College - Poblacion, Sibonga, Cebu. In the study, the students strongly agreed that the chosen teaching strategy and materials were effective in helping them learn human anatomy. There is also a significant difference in the treated data, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Conversely, there must be aspects to focus on to ensure great results when using the application and inquiry-based learning, such as strategically constructing the questions, orienting students, and practicing using the application before using it in the instructions. Other than that, the research can provide insight into the efficacy of the materials. Thus, it is recommended that 3D augmented reality and Inquiry-Based teaching materials for the muscular system in human anatomy and physiology courses are ideal and effective.
