Abstract

The modern teaching / pedagogy requires techniques and proposals which correspond to the needs of students, who will be educated and prepare themselves for their future life. This procedure takes place through the teaching of intellectual, social, moral, and sentimental values that will form active citizens, who will shape a better society. The utilization of the current educational materials which our education employs, in connection to the Drama in Education can play a crucial role towards this direction. Additionally, the students’ works of the semiotics analysis help us pinpoint the extent to which they correspond to the educational goals as far as the teaching of values is concerned. The aim of this study is to highlight the social values through the educational drama technique using ancient dramatic texts from pedagogical resources that have already been used in the Secondary Education.
