Abstract

The article examines various international indices of the competitiveness of countries, paying special attention to the imperfections in their compilation. Various foreign ratings and indices are considered, and the criteria and organizations that select and finance the relevant research are examined. An assessment of existing rankings shows that they often rely on outdated and incomplete information, making them less relevant in a rapidly changing world. The article proposes a new, dynamic, annual international competitiveness index. It suggests the use of modern technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence) and BI (Business Intelligence).
