Covid-19 Sürecinin Ulaştırma Sektörü Finansal Performansına Etkileri

Abstract

Dünya Sağlık Örgütünce 11 Mart 2019’da ilan edilen pandemi, yaşamın tamamını etkilediği gibi ulaştırma ve lojistik sektörünü ve bu sektörün aktörlerini ulusal ve uluslararası bağlamda olağanüstü derecede etkilemiştir. Halen etkileri devam etmekte olan bu süreç hem yolcu hem de yük akışını kısıtlamıştır. Tüm dünyada pek çok olumsuzluğun yaşandığı pandeminin ilgili sektördeki firmaların finansal performanslarına etkileri de önemli konulardan birisidir. Bu çalışmada BIST ulaştırma endeksinde işlem gören firmaların 2008-2020 yılları arasındaki konsolide finansal oranları kullanılarak yıllar bazındaki gelişmeler değerlendirilmiş, finansal performansları OCRA yöntemi ile sıralanmış ve COVID 19 sürecinin etkileri yorumlanmıştır. Performans ölçümünde, likidite, faaliyet, mali yapı, karlılık, büyüme ve piyasa oranları ana başlıkları altında en önemli görülen finansal oranlar kullanılmıştır. Bu analizlerin yanı sıra ilgili sektöre yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Sonuçlar 2008-2020 yılları arasında ilgili endekse bağlı şirketlerin pandeminin etkilerini dramatik olarak yaşadığı ve finansal etkinlik açısından en kötü dönemini yaşadığını göstermektedir. Ayrıca finansal oranlar, 2020 yılında sektörün karlılığının büyük oranda düştüğünü, ihtiyaç duyulan finansmanı banka ve banka dışı kaynaklardan finanse edildiğini ve kriz döneminde borçla ayakta kalabildiğini göstermektedir.
