Evaluación del desempeño agroecológico del cultivo de granadilla en el bosque de Carpish, Huánuco, Perú

From an agroecological approach, the study characterizes the granadilla (Passiflora ligularis Juss) production system in the Carpish Conservation Forest (Huanuco, Peru). Agricultural practices, use of local resources, and level of agroecological transition were evaluated using a Tool for Agroecological Performance Evaluation (TAPE), applying interviews and indicator analysis to 55 producers. The results reveal a production of between 16,000 and 20,000 kg/ha in 72.73% of the cases, although a smaller group records 11,000 to 15,000 kg/ha production. Regarding agricultural diversification, 40% of the plots are cultivated with up to three complementary products to granadilla, while 30.91% integrate up to two additional crops, which is also reflected in a diversified market offer. 85.45% of farmers depend on inorganic inputs, increasing financial risk and reducing productive autonomy. Genetic biodiversity is low, with only 14.55% cultivating more than one variety. Marketing is limited, as only 25.5% of producers access exports, while 32% sell in local markets. In the social dimension, 72.55% of farmers own land without formal titles, and agricultural work is predominantly family-run (40%). Regarding technical sustainability, 60% of crops do not fully recover after stress events, and 81.82% face high competition with weeds. Critical points were identified, such as dependence on chemical inputs, low genetic diversification, and lack of food security. It is concluded that the implementation of agroecological practices is essential to improve crop resilience and mitigate economic and environmental risks, promoting productive diversification and reducing the use of chemical inputs for greater sustainability.
